Chelsea Bowling Club Inc. Chelsea Bowling Club is a multi purpose, multi cultural facility within the Chelsea Sporting complex.
Since it's founding in 1922, Chelsea Bowling Club has been prominent within the bowling fraternity of the Royal Victorian Bowling Association, and the Chelsea Bowling Club has always performed well in competitions in all divisions.
In 2006 the club experienced significant improvements with the transition to a new synthetic bowling green. This new synthetic surface will amongst other benefits, ensure that the occurrence of cancellation of pennant games due to heavy rainfall is very rare, furthermore it will enable residents of Kingston to enjoy social bowls with the introduction of "Twilight Bowling".
Along with the introduction of the new bowling green, the club has also constructed a Pétanque pitch next to the current bowling green. This is a variation of the game of bowls whereby metal balls are used and are delivered from a standing pose.
This is just the beginning of an exciting range of major developments within the Chelsea Bowling Club, which promote it's facilities both sporting and social. This club and all members cordially invite you to come and visit us and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. Make sure you check out our "Get on the Green" information on this web site. New and transfer bowlers welcome. Our first year subscription is only $50.00! This means you can try bowls or Petanque and join our club at minimal cost.
At present the club has shown a significant increase in it's membership, thanks to the range of new facilities available to members. All of this has been made possible through the hard work of past and present presidents and their supporting committee members to ensure a great future of your local club.
